PROGRAMS
CCC offers an array of classes on weekday evenings and Saturdays, for all ages. Subjects range from Mandarin, to English as a Second Language (ESL) for beginners, Advanced English, and Chinese calligraphy. We offer courses in Chinese Painting to help adults learn about Chinese culture.
Cultural Dialogue Programs
The CCC offers an array of educational programs for both children and adults. Cultural exposure and interchange enhances participant’s appreciation of their own culture, and expands their awareness and understanding of the world.
Inspired by the senior members of the Asian Club at Malden High School, this program helps Asian immigrants understand and appreciate American culture while retaining their own heritage, so that they can better support their American-born children in a culturally appropriate manner and fully realize their American dreams. Although the program caters to immigrants, the general public is welcome. This monthly event offers immigrants an opportunity for cultural dialogue as they learn about Chinese and American culture.
+ Youth Leadership Program
Leadership and Mentoring Club works to shape kids into future leaders and hard workers. We work with 4th and 5th graders especially students who have English as their second language or struggle inside the classroom. The mentors are Malden High School students. During each meeting, Malden High school mentors will engage the children in activities such as games, skits, and discussions. We will also do one-on-one mentoring to help build the children's confidence, altruism, motivation, connections as well as other leadership skills.
