Join us for a magical experience where Bu Dai Xi (cloth bag theater) meets live musical improvisation! Journey alongside the Monkey King into the rich heritage of Chinese arts and culture. 与孙悟空一同踏上冒险，体验布袋木偶戏与民乐的奇妙相遇，走近中国传统艺术文化！

About the Event
The Chinese Culture Connection proudly presents "The Ice River," an enchanting episode from the renowned Journey to the West, brought to life in the captivating Bu Dai Xi hand puppetry by skilled puppeteers Madeleine Beresford and Margaret Moody. Joining them are the talented Chinese folk instrument virtuoso, Jimmy Zhao, and percussion specialist, Kaixin Hou.
In this mesmerizing tale, the Monk Tang and his loyal disciples—Monkey King, the pig Ju Ba-jie, and Sha Wu-jing—are on their pilgrimage to India when they encounter a formidable obstacle: a raging river. Their journey takes an unexpected turn as they discover a village in distress, plagued by a menacing river monster that has been plundering their food supplies. With compassion and courage, they offer their assistance.
